      .:.:Beginnings:.:.

I have been experiencing a new way of thinking. I am in a state of dreaming while I am awake. More or less making up scenarios in my head, I entertain these thoughts and I am beginning to wonder what purpose do they serve? Are they deepest desires become manifest? are they premonitions? I feel like I wander and get lost in my own mind often

There are things present in the "dreams" that I feel like I should be paying close attention to. Most of the time I see things that are so vivid, yet I have never been there or seen that object. It puzzles me... It almost seems as if someone else is trying to show me something I've long forgotten.

Is this something I should be embracing? or am I playing with fire by asking questions. I am not certain. All I know, is when I try to explain them to others, they more or less tip their head to the side and say: "uhh...sure."

Changed the text a bit so it became readable. You have a creative mind and you daydream alot. Dream signs and getting motivation going shouldn't be a problem for you. I often wonder how it would feel like to fly over a building I'm looking at and then imagining it in my mind.

Why do I have the feeling that one of Oxid's dreams will tell him to kill a congresswoman?

You can't expect others to understand. The happenings are your thoughts and are in your head. If you believe they're desires or premonitions then study them. They came from your mind so you should be able to work them out. However, don't think about for too long if they aren't making sense, or else they'll become delusions or obsessions.

I appreciate the positive feedback :3 not sure what that other persons issue is but apparently they have too much free time. I feel like I get lost in my mind a lot, its all positive energy so its nothing I fear. I am just sort of in a confused state as to where I go with it and how to utilize this power I feel.

Wait a second. Does this happen while you are awake? Being imaginative and having lucid dreams is one thing, but hallucinations are never a good sign. They are generally a symptom of some health related issue, not always schizophrenia. I would suggest seeing a doctor.

Its not a hallucination? its just a vivid picture of what I am seeing. Almost like watching a movie that comes in clips or skips channels? I dunno I can get lost in imagination, I love it.

Kudos for not listening to the more ignorant posters on this thread. Nikola Tesla actually claimed to have the same ability so you're in good company. I'm working on developing this myself but it takes work to increase the vividness of your daydreams. It seems as though you're dealing with the consequences of having a brain that does so automatically. I would guess that the result is that you'd see extremely vivid flashes, much like insomniacs get or people on psychoactive drugs. I know from personal experience while in the right state of mind, I could almost teleport into what my head was seeing for a split second. I was not imagining a world, I was there. For less than a second, just an image that flashes by but it's a complete image. Not a picture but an entire scene. After realizing what was happening, I could make it happen intentionally and it became a sort of vivid daydreaming.

My advice is to ask yourself about your images when you question if they have significance or if something is telling you something. For instance let's say a thought or image flashes in your head that makes you pause. The first thing to do is focus on the thought or image and hold onto it so you can pinpoint on the feeling associated with it. While focusing on it, ask your body "Is this mine?" if so, it will become lighter and feel warmer. If not, it will become heavier and draining. If it becomes heavy, ask yourself "Is this somebody elses?" and again Truth will result in lightness while misinterpretation will result in heaviness. Once you figure out if what you're dealing with is internal or external, you can address the purpose of the thought/feeling and allow the answer to come (rather than searching for the answer)

Yes, yes she can. If you took schizophrenia out of that then you have no idea what the disease is. It's a defense mechanism. People hallucinate things to avoid reality because their minds can't cope in some way. You won't catch a schizophrenic acknowledging what they're seeing isn't real if they're not also aware they're a schizo.

The world would do well without your ignorance. I don't even know you, nor did I do anything to you. Please go be stupid somewhere else.

As for the other people who responded like normal human beings. Thank you so much for the feedback. Its making me feel better to explain it even just blogging helps.
Its a great way to clear my mind, and apparently keep tabs on people who need to bash others on line because they are too scared to approach their own problems.

All talk of schizophrenia aside (right where it should be):

I went through something very similar to this for about a year in my teens, and I'm still here, more or less. I didn't know Tesla went there too...pretty cool!

I suggest, Oxid3, that you not so much embrace all this as simply experience it, and learn from it. Don't make it too important, but at the same time don't try to ignore (or run from) what you "see." Also, this might be something you keep generally to yourself -- I remember that when I shared, things didn't go well for me socially!
