try again, if no luck then try to close ur eyes and use ur mind

remember that ur mind is the command center for ur lucid dreams. You need to develop mental concentration to will your desires into material form in your dreams.

The more you let go and focus on your mind the better success you will have.

It almost takes away from the excitement of trying to force things too much by letting go but thats how it works for me

Practice in the real world to close ur eyes and then will something in ur mind by saying a statement.

Let me know how it goes for you.

      Stay Lucid!

What you're actually trying to achieve is the feeling of spinning. Try that. Don't push it.

Oh, I never thought of it that way. I always attempted some ludicrously fast egg-beater type feat. No wonder it never worked for me. Plus the eye-closing thing will almost invariably cause me to wake up

Hey, you know that thing they did in Wayne's World all the time. The "doodle-doot-doo...doddle-doot-doo" scene change thing? I wonder if that would work better than spinning

yea, the spinning thing works, but dont close your eyes (or blink) you dont need to, and BAM, you are in the real world (at least for me) although it is pretty easy to re-enter the dream from there.

<-- thats bad (he is blinking)
<---- be more like that when dreaming
      <-- not that

I'm not really sure of the mechanics of the spinning method, however, the feeling that I 'feel' in that state of a dream is similar to trying not to fall asleep while driving. That point where if you accidentally close your eyes for more than a second, you can feel your brain being "sucked into sleep world". Spinning in a dream gives me this sensation.

In my dreams, in order to maintain lucidity, the spinning usually only takes on the course of sometimes one complete rotation or two before I regain my position in the dreaming scenario.

This is very difficult to explain, but the feeling is undeniably familiar to "fighting" sleep when one is nodding.....

The first time I tried spinning in a dream it just woke me up too.

The second time, and every time after that it has worked. It could just be a learning thing.

From what I read in the tutorials, I think that the dream-spinning might actually make you spin in your bed, making you more comfortable and reaffirming the sleeping state. Then again, it might be a way to clear your current (real-world?) thoughts and let the dream recover. I haven't tried it, seeing as I was unaware of the existance of such a technique when I had my lucid dreams (which were all accidental, but I'm hoping to change that).

the ONLY way that i can teleport is to "phase" through a window that has blinds covering it so i cant see the other side, i then think of where the window leads to and it always works

(dreamspinning throws me out of the dream)

There are alternate ways of changing places:

      - Door teleport > find a door, picture a location behind it and open the door.

-Portal > create a portal by any means you can ( painting it on the wall, or just ripping a hole in the wall with your hand), Imagine a location behind the portal and step into it. (note, you might end up in the void. )

      - Direct teleportation > think of a setting you know well, imagine it around you and "shift" into this new setting. (this is very disorienting tho)
