Red face New but glad I found this site! summarizing my dream life and a few questions

      Hi Everyone!

So I just found this website after questioning and worrying about a dream I had the night before. Helped me answer many questions - well gain a brief understanding of my dreams-.
So just to clarify all that's happened to me before (don't worry I'll summarize)!
      - when I was younger I was dreaming I was running away from someone (by the way, I'm 23 now, must of been 12ish) and I sudden realized it was a dream and tried with all my might to wake myself up, I did but I could only open my eyes and I couldn't move, I was so scared to go back to sleep I somehow got only my hand to move and somehow got myself to move by digging my nails into my hand = is this sleep paralysis?
      - this probably is completely un-related as such and my brain hasn't woken up but thought I would ask anyway). I woke up to my alarm and turned it off and I couldn't stand for a while because my legs wouldn't work (was quite scary really), well wouldn't support me, I could however move them. Is this just related to my brain not being awake?
      - I've had deja vu
      - I've had dreams where I thought - I've been in this dream before - But usually I remember just as I wake up and not in my dream, but I already know what to do, as in avoid the bad things that happened before
      - I've dreamt the only time that I fainted - is that normal?
      - I've also had quite vivid dreams and multiple dreams in a night, some stand out more than others. I wake up and remember them but forget in the long term mostly but some I still remember from when I was a kid till now - I presume this is quite normal?
      - I've had a few dreams where I've dreamed I woke up to start my day then I either realize I'm dreaming or wake up properly. Once I woke up two times in a dream then I woke up... it was quite confusing.... so I sort of realized I was dreaming but was still dreaming >.<" - false awakening?
      - Finally, the dream that worried me was; last night I woke up after dreaming I had to have my foot removed through surgery, I went back to sleep and went back into a similar dream and I went up to a companion and told him I knew I was in a dream but my foot was going to get removed (then I got quite upset even knowing this was a dream). I woke up again and dreamt something different about my dream mother dying (not my real mother). I thought this was all connected but I after a bit of reading I have concluded this is probably a result of my worried thoughts earlier yesterday.

However! This last point brought we to this website and I'm very glad! I honestly thought I was a bit weird since none of the people I personally know, dream to the extent I do.
Sorry this post summarizing did go a bit longer than intended!! Nice to meet you all =D

Welcome to DV, hendrika! Yes, it is nice to find a community of people who lucid dream and have many vivid dreams, isn't it? I hope you enjoy this community as much as I do.
You may say I'm a dreamer.
