      Dream jounaling

Hi, I'm new here and this is my first post. So I've been doing a lot of research on different techniques of lucid dreaming, and I'm attempting the MILD way. I used to have lucid dreams a lot when I was younger, but all I used to do was fly around a go to candy kingdom, so now I want to do it again so I can do cooler stuff like talk to my grandma who recently passed away or build my own world and try to mess with stuff. But I've been dream journaling for a few weeks now and I'm not finding any patterns or "dream signs" every different dream is about something completely different and has a different feel and no connections what so ever. It's really frustrating. How long does it usually take befor you start to find these signs? Am I missing something out? Thank you

      Welcome to the forum!

No, you're not missing anything. Dreams can be weird like that.

When I first started dream journaling I wasn't certain about too many dream signs , but as time progressed I noticed more and more. For me the most unusual one was the color 'blue', which seems to show up predominantly on significant objects in my dreams.

Give yourself a little time and examine your dreams in different ways. You might actually find something.

I also found that the more time spent on the forum reading posts and sharing thoughts on lucid methods the more I was influenced by the reading, and many others report the same. Stay active on the forum, both on-topic and off-topic, and I expect you'll start having better luck quite soon.

If you have any news to report or have a question to ask, please post a thread or contact one of our wonderful Dream Guides. They're here to help!

      Pleasant dreams!
