Thread: New but not a n00b. ^_~

Hello all, I'm Shido, as my username suggests. I'm a starving artist/musician looking for my official place in the world. I enjoy playing guitar and writing lyrics in my spare time, as well as writing poetry, creating digital artwork, and doing photography. I like to play video games on all systems. My favorite bands include, but are not limited to, Muse, Placebo, Matt Uelmen (composer of the Diablo 2 soundtrack), Mindless Self Indulgence, The Misfits, The Pixies, Velvet Revolver, The Killers, Dave Matthews, Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Deftones, Modest Mouse, Thursday, Coheed and Cambria, The Strokes, Rush, Queen, Journey, Keane, White Zombie (Just the Quake 2 soundtrack), The Dust Brothers, The Vines, The Stills, Paul Oakenfold, and Crystal Method. I work for a street team passing out band promotional items during concerts. I love anime and surreal films. I'm a member to a few websites that might include more info about me if you're interested.

I switch often between an optimistic dreaming surrealist and a cynical pecimistic realist. Although they are opposites, I tie them in together to create a rather realistic view of things while still keeping my hopes alive. I assure you it's not as bad as it sounds. ^_~
I'm not conceided by any means, but if I had to judge myself I'd say I was a genuinely nice person and a good guy I guess. I value my friends more than anything in the world, and would do anything to keep them happy. My philosophy in life is that if my friends aren't happy, then I'm not doing my job.
