Different people learn LD at different speed, so a book that claims it can teach you to LD in x number of days will not be literally correct, though the techniques they recommend may be good, but the number of days is not something to take seriously. Some people learn to LD fast, and others struggle to a while before succeeding. Also different techniques work better for different people, so if you try one technique for two weeks and have no success, you can try another method for another two weeks, until you find something that works for you. And when I say two weeks, I do not necessarily mean that precise amount, just that you should not be switching techniques every day, but stick with one technique for a while.

Edit: This is really like with many other skills. For example, learning how to read: one cannot say it takes x number of days to learn how to read. Different people learn at different speeds. It also depends on many factors such as commitment level / effort and also age of the person learning (kids learn faster), and also stress level (if you have lots of stress you learn slower), etc.

You may say I'm a dreamer.
