Welcome to DV, Sally! I recommend both this website and reading a book, not either or. I am not familiar with the particular book you mention, though. What about it makes you skeptical? |

Well, the book is a guide. The give everyday instructions to follow. This is only my first week and I feel like It won't work. You can easily find it on the internet for free. I will combine their instructions with information I find here and at the end I will tell if it worked for me |

If you want to do LD and to be successful it has to become your lifestyle not a one day habit |
|
Different people learn LD at different speed, so a book that claims it can teach you to LD in x number of days will not be literally correct, though the techniques they recommend may be good, but the number of days is not something to take seriously. Some people learn to LD fast, and others struggle to a while before succeeding. Also different techniques work better for different people, so if you try one technique for two weeks and have no success, you can try another method for another two weeks, until you find something that works for you. And when I say two weeks, I do not necessarily mean that precise amount, just that you should not be switching techniques every day, but stick with one technique for a while. |

Thank you for your replies. Yeah, I can imagine that LDing depens on the person. I think I'm gonna read the book and follow its recomendations and see if it works. There is a lot of information in this website. If lucid dreaming it's a lifestyle, as Karloky says, I want to embrace it. I think I just have to work on it and find out what's best for me. |
