      Hello! I'm new here!

Hey DreamViews. Just joined here, in the hope that I can achieve my ultimate goal in Lucid Dreaming.

I recently found out about the subject, and was fascinated by it. I mean, the ability to control your dreams, become master of your mind? I believe this is the secret to unlocking human mysteries, and begin to consciously use the 87% of brain power that we supposedly don't.

I attempted to incubate an image into my head last night. I would think of it over and over, and play it out like a gif image. I guess I knew it wouldn't work on my first try, and it didn't.

I haven't given up hope however. I want to keep trying, I've already been using a dream journal too.

That sums up my experience of LD

      Hello, Philosophic! Welcome to DV!

It sounds to me like you have already made some progress, even though you've just joined us, that's great! As for not working on the first try, the only time I got close to having a WILD was the first time I tried it, so trust me when I tell you there are no definite rules about this. Keeping a dream journal is really the best you can do, and I also recommend doing reality checks during the day.

I hope you have a good time here, it's a lovely place if you want to get advice, learn from others or if you want to share what you've accomplished! I suggest you start a workbook too, I find it very important to write down the things you've tried and what did and didn't work.
