      Starting a dream jurnal.

Hello im new with lucid dreaming. I didnt knew its existance since my cousin referred it to me. I wanted to go deeper in this so did my cousin. He said to me to start a dream journal so i did tried this some times but i was kinda lazy. I read some posts and i decided to take things more seriously since i want to go lucid so badly.

The reason i start this post is if there is any tips or some tricks or even techniques to write down my dream and have a better effect one me?

When writing in a dream journal, you should take note of several things.

      - When you went to bed
      - Anything you ate/drank before bed
      - The date
      - When you woke up
      - Any supplements taken

Write your dream down in as much detail as you can muster - the point of a dream journal is to help with your recall and find any possible dream signs. Maybe every week or two, take a highlighter, and highlight any recurring themes/objects. They might be potential dream signs, which will help you become lucid.

The dream journal is the most powerful tool a lucid dreamer can have. Never forget that.

Also, take it further by signing up for a class in the DV Academy. I suggest you start with DILD, for it will help you have the right mindset to lucid dream.

Hope you have a lucid dream soon!

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

      Good advise from DreamscapeGoat.

Every time you think about your dreams, you telling your mind that you like having and remembering them. It is the best tool to boost your recall. But it will help you in many other ways. Here is a detailed list of what you can write in your DJ. But don't feel obligated to use all of them. http://www.dreamviews.com/dild/13212...ods-dilds.html

You can use your paper DJ or Word processor. You can also use our DJ system, that you will find from the top navigation bar. Check it out, it's fun. Happy dreams
