Brand new! and I need help

Hello guys I am new around here, and loving this website. I use to lucid dream as a kid like it was nothing, but as the years went by its impossible I want to lucid dream so badly but I can't. I think its hopeless for me... I don't understand it at all. When I read people's threads its like they know how to dream? if that makes sense, every time I got to sleep I see blackness and thats it and usually just pass out, then the next thing I know it I am wake the next morning...... I would die to lucid dream again...As a kid how I would lucid dream is I would imagine to scratch(like a itchy feeling) myself and take that sensation to the next level and somehow get lucidity out of it..but anyways this is an awesome site I would love for someone to recommend me tips or methods to lucid again, because to be honest I dont thinK i cant lucid.

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

Well, from what I have heard, it's much easier to LD when you are a child. That's when they are most likely to happen without any training, just spontaneously. But as we get older, it seems that we need to work for it. Even dream recall may not come easy, if we don't actively think about dreams and wanting to remember them.

So no worries, all of us here have to work for it. And you have an advantage. You already had LD so you know you can do it and you know how they feel.

I can recommend you start with writing your dreams down into a dream journal. Paper or electronic, that's up to you. We have a DJ system here on Dreamviews you can check out.

And I recommend you practice for DILD induction method. That's when you during normal dream realize you are dreaming. Second major method is WILD - that's when you fall asleep and enter a dream without losing awareness. Good luck and please ask
