Was I close to lucid dreaming? Or Nah?): WILD style

      Hello everyone,
I'm new to trying to Lucid Dream, but I'm not quite sure how. I've been researching about it for three days now and last night, I had the guts to try it. The fist night I started researching about it, I was to scared to try because I just finished watching Insidious with my girlfriend and I was SCARED as hell to have hallucinations of that. So instead of going to sleep, I stayed up all night. The second night, I researched more and I read that you'll only hallucinate scary things if you expect scary things, so I just started to expect non-scary things, and I wasn't as scared anymore. (Is this good?) Anyways, last night, I finally did it. I woke up at 3am on my own, chilled for a few minutes and got started. I probably messed up because I didn't write me dream I had before I woke up. After I finished "chilling" for like 5 minutes, I laid down, put my head phones on and listened to binaural beats. (If you want to watch the video, it's called R.E.M. & Lucid Dream Enhancement by Neuromancer) I listened to it for 11minutes with my eyes close without moving my eyes or body and swallowing. I felt(or heard) my heart beating super fast after like 6 minutes I'm assuming. I felt like something heavy was on my chest making it a little hard to inhale. My feet started to feel weird. Numb I guess. While listening to it, I kept repeating: I will have a lucid dream tonight with beautiful models, I will have a lucid dream tonight with beautiful models, I will have a lucid dream tonight with beautiful models. I imagined them surrounding me in my room, but nothing. I then started imagining my dream from 2 nights ago: Riding a bike down small branches miles high in a forrest. Didn't work, so I gave up and stayed up for the rest of the night lol. Was I close to have a lucid dream? What should I do next time? Can you guys give me some insights on this experience please? Thank you! I look forward to posting a lot more when I start dreaming!

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

I would recommend to start out with some basic tutorials. Get a few LDs that way, before you ad anything else to it. That way you will know what works and what doesn't and you will know how to adjust your technique. Good luck and Happy dreams
