      Hello everyone!

I've decided to give lucid dreaming a shot again! I tried it roughly five years ago, and had some successes, but I lost interest due to life issues that were going on then. But now I would really like to get back into the game. I spend a LOT of time these days digging through history, and I would love to use lucid dreaming as a way to interact with the people I've been researching. Or even to re-create historical events and see how very realistic (or not) I can get it to be. Who knows, maybe lucid dreaming will even help me understand some piece of the research puzzle that's escaped me in waking life?

Anywho, it's great to meet you all and I can't wait to get started! ^_^

Hello and welcome. Lucid dreaming can indeed help with making connections that you wouldn't notice in real life, though I don't believe you can get any "new" knowledge from it. As for recreating historical events, I hadn't thought about that. Let me know how it goes.

Hello splodeymissile! I understand that there won't be any new info. But since my historical research project involves literally thousands and thousands of pieces of evidence, I'm very curious to see how it could all get recombined in a lucid dream. It's very tough to hold it all together even while awake! I practiced RCs all day yesterday. No lucidity or dreamtime attempts at RCs last night, but I did get actual dream recall for the first time in several weeks, so yay progress.

What an excellent way to utilise LD,
I wish you lots of success with that.
