      Things to Learn

I am extremely sensitive to Lucid Dreaming. The moment I realize that I am not awake I have the ability to change ANYTHING or think up almost anything out of thin air, and just cause I wish it so. Is that normal for a beginner? I was unaware of what I was actually doing until resently. I thought EVERYONE was able to do it. Whenever someone told me about an intense dream or nightmare the first question I tended to ask was "well, did you realize it was dream?". I just got the same answer , "NO, How would I?". I had no idea that this state of dreaming was not an experience everyone has.

Also, 90% of the dreams I can interpret as dreams are nightmare. I have to be scared out of my wits in order to convince myself that it's not real. The other 10% makes it all worth the while, they are the one's where everything seems normal and then suddenly someone says something out of text or does something I know this person wouldn't do and I realize it's not reality. These dreams are FUN, I can fly, I can do as I please or say so, I can even controll others and get them to do as I please, sometimes even mentally transport myself to a more peaceful place. How can I accomplish these dreams more often then the nightmare ones?

Well, I would think that having these nightmare-induced LDs could be easier to springboard from. Do your nightmares have certain parts that tend to get repeated. If so, when you manage to get lucid from one of the nightmares, confront that issue and resolve to put it away and replace it with better dreams. I don't get very many nightmares so I'm not sure what else you could do at this point in time.

And you're what we call a "natural", or someone who hasn't had to use any special techniques or training to induce lucid dreams. They just happen. Us non-naturals can be quite jealous, but I have met people who think that it's normal to know you're dreaming and believe that everyone can do it.

Anyway, glad you joined us and are able to learn all that you desire. Let us know if you need anything.
