      Question about being pulled...

When I sleep on my back once in awhile I have a very strange dream sequence...

It's a normal dream (random stuff), but all of a sudden I float out of my dream body. Actually, I'm being pulled out of myself in the dream (the dream is still going on) and then pulled around as if by a magnet. It's a VERY intense body feeling. Often I start spinning slowly head over feet. It's spooky because while rotating my head will look like it's going to hit the floor. Since I'm not even in my dream body, I just spin through the floor and back up the other side. I have no control over this pulling, and I have to just surrender to wherever it takes me. It's often very scary because it feels like I'm being controlled by something else. I've yelled out a few times but nothing answers, of course. I usually freak out and wake myself up.

I'm not a lucid dreamer per se, but this is very weird. I'm dreaming and I guess I sort of have an out of body experience during the dream. Ha.

Anyway, I can't be the only one that's had this. Any idea what it is? Thanks!

This sounds like an Astral Projection or OBE.

Do you feel vibrations, hear buzzing, etc?

Yes, there is some body buzzing and loud noise. And it's terrifying! I force myself past the buzzing (it's always at the beginning) because it freaks me out and I think I'm dying. Then a few seconds later it passes and I start floating around. I chicken out about a minute or two in and wake myself up. Hopefully I can trust in the future that the experience won't kill me. I have never been so scared, for sure.

The vibrations and noises are most likely due to Sleep Paralysis ( SP - Sleep Paralysis - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views )

It is normal to freak out first, but for the next time, just ignore this stage and visualize a dream forming. You will be lucid in no time.
