Who or what pulled me from my bed?

A few weeks ago, I was at my boyfriends house and was finding it hard to sleep. Tossing and turning for ages, i drifted off but thought I was still awake. I imagined I had phoned my sister and asked her to pick me up because I couldn't sleep. She brought me to her house. I went to the bathroom and then the bedroom. I tried to turn on the light but it wouldn't work. Just then I heard a voice of a girl and it sounded as if it was coming through a baby moniter? Trien to listen, I got an overwhelming feeling of being drained of energy and feel face down on to the bed. Then i could feel someone or something pulling me out of bed and down the hall. I tried to scream for my sister but nothing came out. Then suddenly I woke up in my boyfriends house lien on my belly but I couldnt move. I was terrified and couldnt sleep for hours. Has this happened to anybody else or can anyone tell me what this is or what it means? It hasn't happened since but id love to know what caused it to happen..??

This is likely a hallucination associated with sleep paralysis. Welcome to dreamviews, by the way.

It is hard to tell from your description. It might just have been a nightmare false awakening, or it could have been sleep paralysis. Dreams can be surprisingly vivid and convincing. People around here spend years trying to learn how to reliably tell the difference between dreams and reality.

You have nothing to worry about! It sounds like a frightening experience but know that it's all in your mind. Like the others said you probably had a FA which ended with you going limp in the dream (this happens sometimes if you're about to wake up) and you then ended up in SP which turned ugly quite fast since you were already scared. Dreams and SP hallucinations are greatly influenced by what you believe will happen.

Just remember that everything you experience in your dreams is completely harmless. Don't let SP have any power over you by fearing it. Next time it happens just relax, ignore the sensations and think of a nice dream scene you want to be in, and you'll be there in seconds

Hi i agree with Matt, I have been dragged and all sorts but once I realised what it was and read up on it a little more it stopped happening so much and that's all thanks to DV...research SP a little more and I bet it stops once you understand it more and when you understand something it takes away the fear of the unknown , happy sleeps.

Which i find strange as Iv always had vivid and lucid dreams...where I can control what happens and distinguish whether Im dreaming or not. Iv spoke to people in dreams and told them that I know Im dreaming but I have to get something done, things like that!! Iv also had dreams within a dream, one about dreaming about freddy krugar and waking up telling people iv had dreams about him....while Im still dreaming. I always thought it was weird but cool and then I found this site and realised people actually try to do it lol. Thanks for the reply
