      Kaan's introduction

      Hi there !

I will just copy/past the intro from my profil cause it seams to be clear enought

Moderator of a French speaking forum about LD (so sorry in advance for my broken English)
My first LD happened when I was 10.
I was about 20 when I first read about LD (Laberge & co), and it was just the begining of the Internet, so allmost all infos where from books.
20 years later I'm still in the game, and I am still searching for a method/device to have something close to "LD at will", from what I am so far away (between few LD a month to a LD every few month).
When I was younger I could have about 2-4 LD a week, but not anymore.
I 've been working with dream masks (Nova dreamer, then Rem Dreamer), it helps but I expect next gen LD Devices to do better.
This forum talk about new technics (SSILD for exemple) and new technologies (Aurora, Luciding and home made devices), that is why I registered here.

      Thanks for accepting me.

Hi kaan, welcome to the forums . There is a lot if discussion here concerning techniques, but they usually boil down to the following:
      --daily awareness (ADA, SAT, mindfulness)
      --setting intentions (MILD, autosuggestion, hypnosis)
--anchors for WILD (SSILD and others)

There may be others that I am not doing justice to, but those seem to be the most popular choices. Looking forward to seeing you around the forums.

      Thanx
I personnaly considere SSILD as something close to non verbal Self-Hypnosis more than a WILD technic (even if it can turn to a WILD if you are close enough to a REM stage, the purpose is the opposit).

perfect Control of a WILD technique (visualisation, Sleep Paralysis trics, and so on) witch means LD whenever you want would be my n°one Will, cause it sounds less random play than DILD technics, but it is a lot of work and practice.
In the other hand, I am sure that technology is one of the LD futures, and as Lucidity is for me directly linked to the reactivation of certains parts of the brain, even if it is a complex kinda alchimy, I can't see why we could not achieve this saint Graal goal in the next years .

I'm not sure if SSILD has elements of hypnosis or not; my intuition tells me it functions the same as a sensory scan performed before meditation, and therefore promotes mindfulness as one falls asleep (the same as a WILD anchor). But there is plenty of debate about this. As for electronics, I hope you are able to find your holy grail

well, about SSILD, the way I understand it (and as Cosmic Iron present it, which is also the way I experimented it), is that SSILD is supposed to bring mental confusion bye the senses Scan cycles, and this is where I see a Erickson's self hypnosis way to produce a natural hypnotic trance.
Mental confusion is one of the technics that brings a hypnotic state, and it is by it self a hypnotic state.
But SSILD is certainly more that that.
By scaning 3 differents senses, I guess that we activate differents brain areas.
Also, the fact of practicing SSILD is certainly associated with the will to be lucid in the next dreams, so falling asleep with the Idea of becoming Lucid must help !
The big difference with WILD is that you go to sleep very confuses (if you did the SSILD the right way), wich is the opposit from mindfulness.
The way Lucidity comes in dreams by practicine SSILD is one more thing that makes me put the SSILD in the DILD technics basket.

And the main issue with DILD technics is that it's like going to Las Vegas, you never know if you will come back with gain or not...
But maybe all the suspens comes from that !
