      hello all :)

hey everyone, my name is ricky im 25 years old

i was listening to a lucid dreaming podcast and followed a link to a dream views podcast, listened to a few of those and decided it may be worth joining, ive been researching lucid dreaming now for a few months, ive known for years that i have been 'concious' in my dreams but it was nothing to me really, just a strange thing i told people about for a while, but it still had me intrigued so i looked it up and found the term is lucid dreaming, and id only scraped the bottom of the barrell of the awesomeness of lucid dreaming,

since then ive been keeping an off and on dream journal using an android app called 'Awoken', its pretty good but i have to admit ive not been consistent, i wanna try and get more commited for sure,

so far since ive been researching and actually TRYING to become lucid in my dreams ive acheived it about 4 times in a few weeks, 2 of those were in successive nights and they were pretty much the same dream which was strange,

something ive find out so far, when i become lucid now i find it amazing how the things ive learned on how to stabalize and stuff actually works in the dream, like looking at my hands and saying 'stabalize' when i became lucid the first time after researching the first thing i did was look at my hands and stabalized it, it wasnt great though, it didnt last long at all which has been the case with each dream so far

i work at 5am in the morning so lucid dreaming isnt really available to me during the week, my only hope is weekends really which sucks lol but i hope to learn more about how to induce fully vivid lucid dreams so i can actually control them cuz i havnt done that at all yet sadly, infact the most ive done so far is become aware, feel around the place a little and wake up, so hopefully soon i can report back with my first 'controlled' lucid dream

sorry for the big introduction lol

Hello and welcome to DV!!! Why would your waking time make LDing impossible in the week? Any time there is sleep, there is a chance to LD.

If you have any questions, shoot them at me.

well i usually go to bed at like 10pm on weekdays, and get up the next morning at 5am, i find at weekends when i have a lie in that my dreams seem to start after 5am, and on weekdays when i wake in the morning at 5am i cannot remember dreaming at all, but at weekends when i wake at 8am i always have something to write down, so ive come to the conclusion that i cant lucid dream on weekdays cuz i dont seem to dream untill after 5am, maybe im wrong, just seems to be the case, but i will keep trying to remember any dreams on weekdays that i may have, maybe i am dreaming but im just not remembering at all cuz work is on my mind soon as i wake
