Nice to see another Aussie on DV!

I was having trouble with my dream stability recently, too. The technique described by AnotherDreamer has been working wonders for my dreams over the last month or so.
I've gone into a bit more detail in the intro of my dream journal here, if you're interested.
It seems that the less I worry about instability, the less it's an issue for me.

You'll probably come across other stabilisation techniques around the forum too, like spinning, engaging your senses (eg. rubbing your hands or biting something), or verbal commands. Different methods work for different people - it might be worth giving some of those a try.
I've also seen some cool ideas for getting your eyes working, like taking off imaginary glasses/lenses, or simply realising that you're not restricted by eyelids in dreams because you don't have eyes! (I believe those ideas came from Sensei and Sageous, respectively.)

Good luck, I hope you find something that works for you!

      Thank you

I had a crazy LD today which you have to look in my profile for that post because I can't post links yet.

Along with it being my favourite LD ever, I think I learnt a lot from it in terms of stabilisation.
When I was thinking about not being able to get my eyes back open I couldn't, although when I did it without thinking it was fine and dandy.

I think I need to just stop thinking so much about it like you said and hopefully I've solved the problem.
