Hey guys, returning after being gone for a few years. I worked pretty hard when I first joined the site and had about 10 LDs over 1-2 months. Then, I lost interest pretty quickly for unclear reasons to me now, haha. I just became interested in LD again yesterday and reacquainted myself with a lot of the basic guides. I had my first LD last night in quite a few years! This does not surprise me, as I've found that my success if often tied to how much time I invest in thinking, studying, etc. about LD in the daytime prior to a given night.

In total, I had pretty good recall of 6 dreams last night (although I have to admit I had an advantage in that I slept for a good 10 hours), including a sequence of 3 dreams in a row, which I believe led to a DEILD. I started to gain a little bit of lucidity towards the end of an odd dream, but I felt it collapsing at the same time. I tried to hold on to the lucidity as I "woke up" in a new dream. I was hesitant to open my eyes for fear of a true awakening, but after committing to it and a quick RC, I was lucid. Unfortunately, it was not a fully-fledged lucidity in that I did not have the focus to stabilize the dream, and it ended pretty quickly. Ironically, after this short-lived LD, I had a false awakening in which I was writing down my dreams but failed to realize it or do a RC in my excitement to write down my chain of 3 dreams.
