      A Simple Misunderstanding

Hello there, I've been attempting to lucid dream for about two weeks now and last night I practiced FIlD. I was able to breathe through my nose however I was then unable to do anything as though I was in sleep paralysis (I know this shouldn't happen with FiLD). I tried to get up or fly through the window from my bedroom, but as soon as I moved I woke up. So the question is, when your reality check works in FILD and you're still in bed, what do you do to start lucid dreaming? Do you wait to be absorbed by a new scene? Or do you get up and search for it? Thanks for any feedback!

I would spend a few moments stabilizing the dream. Rub your hands together, repeat to yourself "I am aware and in control of my dreams" or "clarity now" if things get fuzzy. Trying to move too fast or change things that your mind isn't ready for will boot you out of the dream.
