Hi Guys not sure if im in the right place

I have been having a weird sensations/dreams. It happened when i was a kid every once in a while but now it seems like it is happening almost nightly especially since my wife has been gone for the past week. It almost has me scared to sleep. ussually my wife can wake me up but since i been sleeping alone it takes a long time to wake up. she says i just start shaking and mumbling or screaming with my mouth closed whatever that is? heres what happens I go to bed and then after a while it begins. I think im awake and after a while i get a bad feeling and realize im sleeping then i shake myself in the bed untill i wake up. Once it was me walking around my house (in dreamish state??) and i get to a certain part of my house and there is like a invisible barrier and i cant pass it. i realize im dreaming and i get the bad feeling and shake myself till i awake. Even scarier the other night i felt like my bed was shaking violently and then again i wake up but im not sure if that happened in my dream or when i was awake. i was so confused and very scared. i got on the internet to see if maybe it was a earthquake but it wasnt so i assume it was in my dream??? Any help would help. if this is the wrong thread or wrong forum all together im sorry, please direct me to right place. hopefully its not some kind of physcological problem and just some sleep disorder. I looked up some disorders but doesnt seem to fit any. thanks ahead of time.

Welcome, I think you have come to the right place. It sounds like you are becoming aware in your dreams. This can be disturbing when it is new and confusing. It is something that can happen to anyone, but is not remembered or noticed by most. What happens next is all a matter of education and expectation.
