Hello fellow dreamers! Well.. for starters my name is bradley, nice to meet you all!, I'm 26 with 2 kids and a fiance. Man.. let me tell you all how long I've been wanting to be apart of a proper forum or chat room to discuss my dreams, I felt so alone, even though I knew there were thousands of people who lucid dream, I wanted to be apart of a community, and with a quick Google search, here I am. |

: ) Welcome to dream-views master Bradley~ Its great that lucid dreams and control comes to you naturally. Sounds like you have a bunch of fun adventures too. I don't see why social dreams wouldn't be a thing. |

Thanks for the replies and warm welcome! Sorry if I sounded a little brash with my "master" comments, I was exited lol. Are their other people in here to that lucid Dreaming just came naturally? I feel as though it came to me due to me trying to remember dreams, even if it was a small memory of it, and over time, once I remembered dreams fully I wanted more.. and more.. and more, I was and maybe still am addicted to dreaming. |
|
No problem.Hehe I don't think you sounded brash. If your really good at it there's no shame in that. There are other natural lucid dreamers but i don't lucid dream all the time I want to. Its awesome how you progressed through your enthusiasm for lucid dreaming. |

It's definitely an experience lol. I feel kinda spoiled by it 😛, I never talked to anyone about it as a kid, as a matter of fact I don't think I actually knew what "Lucid" dreaming meant until like a few years ago lol, I just thought of it as super dreaming hehe. |
|
I'd also say dawn that you're lucky you had friends and family that talked about it, I take it they also lucid dreamed aswell. I never really talked about it to anyone, they'd either shrug it off or they don't really remember, or liked dreaming as much as I did. |

I had one or two lucids when I was a kid - apparently many people do but then stop as they get older. That's how it went for me, until one day I was reading a science fiction magazine called Analog and in the back pages was a full page ad for Stephen LaBerge's lucid dreaming camp or whatever it was back then, before he wroteThe World of Lucid Dreaming. It was really new unexplored stuff at the time and he was the only person really messing with it as a scientist. I got really excited reading that ad, but couldn't afford to travel and attend the camp or clinic or whatever it was. A series of lectures or something. But they were selling of all things a ballpoint pen with a little LED light at the tip of it so you can write in your journal in the middle of the night without having to switch a light on, which wakes you up too much and disturbs anybody else in the room as well. They recommended keeping a dream journal next to your bed along with the pen and writing down all your dreams in detail as a way of achieving lucidity.Well I couldn't even afford the pen at the time - I was a kid! But I did start writing down my dreams in the morning as I remembered them. I didn't actually experience lucidity again until many years (decades) later when I had a computer and the internet was a reality and I found this place. And the only way I was able to do it then was through a lot of dedicated daytime practice and study and work, and it only happened rarely - maybe once a month if I was lucky. It started to pick up - after a while I was getting 2 or sometimes 3 in a month. Then I discovered lucid dreaming supplements and ordered a bunch of them and unfortunately I came to rely on them too much and stopped the daytime practice and the dreams petered out. Which brings us pretty much up to date lol! |

Lol What if instead of lucid dreaming it was called super dreaming? If you know it's a dream than it's still lucid dreaming.Yeah, there are lots of people who lucid dream. By family I meant my brothers and cousins. My parents understood what it was but they didn't really get into the topic of dreams like we did.Its nice to meet you as well. Hope you have a good time here and in the irc. Sorry you never had people to talk about it with but you do now in this forum and your not the only one. Also, nowadays we don't talk about it with each other like we use to. It's just something that randomly comes up from time to time. |
