      The Adventure Begins!

      Hi!

I'm an avid Dreamviews reader since 2 years ago, when I started my quest to explore and master the mysterious dream realm.
So, first af all, thanks a lot for your inspiration and tips!

I want to master lucid dreaming in order to explore different historical epochs, test the relationship between dream and reality, have my personal Holodeck (Star Strek fan here!), overcome my limitations and realize my highest potential as a human being.

My main problem until now has been lack of consistency and too much change in techniques, not giving me the time to properly master any one of them (that's your fault guys, btw! ). That gave me something like 1-3 LDs per month (sometimes none at all), which managed to keep up my interest in this topic but didn't permit me to do anything useful in those few seconds of lucidity I managed to induce.

But now I'm determined to step up my game: in the "Attaining Lucidity" section I'll present a personal MILD version I'm going to concentrate on everyday for 1 YEAR.

Every tip or critique is welcome, I thank you in advance. Let's go!

Welcome, DixonHill! It sounds like your pretty well motivated. And you are right that sticking with one technique to really develop a sense for it and its potential with you can be a very good thing. I decided to stick with MILD for a while, and it has so far been a success. Doing some daily reading and prospective memory training can be good ways to keep your goal in focus. If you haven't already ready Stephen Laberge's Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming, that can be a good resource that a lot of LDers use for MILD, relaxation for sleep, prospective memory training, etc. Best of luck with your one-year goal!
