      Hello (v2?)

I thought I had an account on here before, but all the usernames I think I would have used weren't found, and I guess the email wasn't used either. Guess I need to keep track of which forums I sign up for, lol?

Anyway, I'm Moxie! Mox is fine, too. I'm kind of new to lucid dreaming, I've only had about...13, or 14? And those are all recent (aside from one), as of this year. Although I don't have the mastered ability to lucid dream yet, I am still a pretty avid dreamer with plenty of journals filled up. I'm on a quest with a few goals in mind, which I'll probably explain later in my journal on here.

Other things about me, I practice witchcraft in which dreaming, astral projection, and moon magick are my center points.
I also just took up an apprenticeship for live sound engineering and studio sound recording.
I recently found my love for reading again, so if you have any book suggestions, throw 'em my way!

      Nice meeting you all(:

Welcome to Dreamviews, Moxieofthemoon! That's great that you already have lucid dreams. As far as books, I would recommend Stephen Laberge's Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming. It could help bolster your dream abilities.

What kind of books do you like? The best horror/fantasy/sci fi series ever in my opinion is Brian Lumley's Necroscope series.

Otherwise there is stuff like R.A. Salvator's Dark Elf stories which is one of the best fantasy characters ever created. I also loved his Demon Wars Saga a lot. Probably his best work. And one of my all time favorites.

Also for more historical fantasy you might like with more shamanistic magic "David Gemmell" writes some bad ass stuff.

I've always found that reading is conducive to lucid dreaming as it always put me in the right frame of mind. And reading is kind of a dream like experience since the story happens in your mind and you start seeing it almost like a dream. I should get back to it more too. I had planned to.

And of course as Zelcro mentioned if you have not read EWOLD you should. It's a must read for anyone interest in the subject. I no longer own a copy since I always end up giving mine away and not getting it back. Shrugs. When I have the book, and any time someone in my life shows and interest. I hand over that book hoping they will get something out of it...

I've heard a lot about Stephen Laberge's works. I think it's time I check out some of his books! And definitely, I always see an increase in dream recall/vividness after I read any kind of lucid dreaming book. Will do, thanks!

Ooo, it's been a long time since I've read a good fantasy book. Those sound right up my alley. I've always been into the vampire, werewolf, elf stuff, so those sound doooope. Thanks a ton!

      Hey Mox......

If you might like some fantasy with a twist of real world sensibilities check out "The Saga of Recluce" series by L. E. Modesitt, Jr..

Pretty cool about the music studio gig. I do quite a bit of recording myself in my home studio.....I'm one of those singer/songwriter types.

      Sleep well...and dream.
