      Sleepwalking and Sensations

Hey, just a newbie... just registered for this site. I find this site pretty resourceful. I am about to embark on the journey to become a lucid dreamer (I will tell about myself a little on, when I get the time)

In lucid dreaming, is it possible to end up sleepwalking or is this with people who has harmed their physic and mental health? just curious, cuz in one of the posts/tutorials, it says "dont try jumping out the window and seeing if you can fly", this is pretty obvious but I love flying dreams since I wanna be a pilot when i get older....I will tell you about that dream when I get the time, right now I'm about to get some shut eye after reading these tutorials!

Also another question, is what sensations should I be feeling as i enter my lucid world? can someone effectively describe what these sensations are, I really dont know what to expect what I'm entering the lucid world. I noticed flashing images and great white balls of light fading out but when i notice this my eyes start to flutter and so on. It ruins my attempt to enter a dream state mind

and hwo long can u be dreaming for? I quite often notice i bes in a dreamy state just maybe a hour before i wake-up for stupid school! is it possible to have one throughout the night if you are good enough?

Sorry i never got to introduce myself, will do later....any replies would be GREATLY appreciated

Well, that my friend is amazing to have. It is the beginnings of a method named WILD. What you experienced is Hypnagogic imagery. Try to achieve it again after you read the WILD tutorial.

Also, dreams last from 10-100 minuets; as the night goes on the REM cycles get longer. It is impossible to have a dream that last the duration of your sleeping state.. Our minds were not designed to dream all night long. Good Luck! If you have any more questions you can PM me or any of the other Dream Guides and we'll be happy to help

Noone mentioned about the slight possibility of sleepwalking? or about how to counteract your eyes fluttering from the images...i must admit, it seems cool just to see those images..I seen some scenes already but they only lasted for about 5-10 seconds...I just assumed that it was just my imagination.

When these flashing images appear? are you sposed to think about what you would like to do or focus on these fading flashing lights?

Sorry, I will post soon and formally introduce myself...If i have troubles by the end of this weekend. I will post my troubles and hopefully someone could officially help me...I dont say I'll be dreaming on X-mas ever next weekend.. Anyone ever get to sleep on Xmas eve anyways?

If you don't have a history of sleepwalking, it's highly unlikely that it would happen now, just because you are lucid in a dream. People who sleepwalk have a malfunction that prevents their body from entering Sleep Paralysis, which is what keeps us from acting out our dreams.

The reason people say that jumping out of a window is a dangerous reality check is because you might NOT be dreaming at all!

      Introduction

Hello fellow lucid dreamers out there in the real world or dream world.

Hello, I want to seek the ability to lucid dream because I've always paid attention to my dreams and try to incorporate them into the real world by reflecting how I or someone else feel towards something. The other reason I wish to seek lucid dreaming and maybe even beyond that is because I am physically disabled, disallowing me to walk properly and so therefore if i learn how to lucid dream, I could do and experience things I could not do in the real world cause of my disability. (like flying an airplane for example). I am into flight, aviation and airplanes and am hoping to become a commercial airline pilot or some aviation-related career. The chances of me becoming a airline pilot is very slim to me in the real world, but in the dream world it seems too real to be true!

I am 16 years old and spend most of my time, reading and posting at these forums, playing flight simulator, after girls at school and whatnot and GUITAR. I play alot of guitar, I enjoy listening to classic country music as well as playing it. I'd really like to lucid dream about playing my guitar, singing a song that I've written over the months in millions of people!

My msn is [email protected], feel free to add me.. I love to meet people

      Success!

hey, Success has come amongst me people!

I have had my first dream early this morning and woke at 3:30 am right on the clock! I had went to bed 10:43 pm and attempted the WILD induction, I kept focused and concious in my sleep. I eventually fell asleep seeing big white balls fade out and lights flashing (hypoponic images) I also finds that the chalkboard technique mentioned in the HILD technique does more success at relaxation then 61 or what else is out there.

Even though the dream was non-lucid it will still very cool, even though the dream was a bit mysterious because i was looking from a 3rd person point of view, watching myself at a gas bar, pump up my van with fuel...I, afterwards noticed that me in the dream, refueling my van was divorced. I soon purposely woke up to write my first dream entry in my journal. Even though it was still 3:30am and I had school at 7, I still got up and wrote the dream down on scrap paper. I wasnt worried about whether the dream was prospetic because I never seen the cost of fuel on the meter, and besides a lot of divorced people go on to live a happy, normal life.

I have a question as well that I will post seperately from this because it relates to something else then this! I feel so happy that I have accomplished this much!
