      Ugh...it happened again.

Another night of trying to LD and once again, as soon as i realized i was in a dream, i started to wake up. It's a little frustrating lol. also, i tried to WILD after i woke up, but i just ended up laying there and not coming anywhere near sleep, anyone have any suggestions?

Hey, I ahvent actualy had a LD before, but my suggestions would be to just calm down. The minuet you know your lucid just try to focuse on whats around you. Maybe you could also try spinning, then thinkinh of what you want to be there when your done. This info is only from what i've read, but I hope it helps.

      Good Luck

      2 suggestions

      rub your dream hands together.

Imagine your dream body is spinning.

With both techniques you should tell yourself "The next thing I see will be a dream" as you may get a false awakening.

I haven't mastered these techniques myself. But they have helped me twice.

Don't worry it will come with practice. I think the first few times it's easy to wake up because it's a new feeling and sensation and therefore your body and mind react to it quite strongly. Once you get used to that..."feeling" of being awake in your dreams you should be able to remain lucid longer.

Hey.. new to the forums obviously. I happened to stumble upon this forum when i was looking up some dream sites. Glad i did. I have to agree with Aquanina. When i was younger (9, or 10) i had my first few Lucid Dreams.

The first time i was on an extremely long and high bridge that i couldn't seem to get off of. I finally realized that i was dreaming after noticing that the size of the bridge and my current situation in it wasn't possible. I then decided to just jump off of the bridge because i knew id be alright. I jumped and landed on my feet.. walked a few steps and then i woke up. It was a very unusual but amazing feeling to realize that i was aware and "awake" in my dream.

Like Aquanina said its definetly a new sensation for the mind and body so waking up shortly after isn't an unusual result. My second Lucid dream when i was younger occured at my elementary school playground which is just a minute or so away from my house. I was being chased my dinosaurs such as raptors. I was obviously extremely scared but once again realized that i was dreaming. I remember once i realized this that i stopped running from them.. and said to myself " you can eat me it won't do anything" So i just stood there and let the raptor eat me.. almost immediately after i woke up. It was alot to handle.. i remember it being more powerful and sensational than my first lucid dream... so it was alot for my mind to handle i guess. Over the years (i am still only 17) ive had a couple of lucid dreams that i might explain at another time.. but i stayed in those dreams alot longer than my previous ones. Anyways if you just practice, and experience Lucid dreams enough you will more then likely be able to stay in a Lucid state longer. Good luck.
