      Another newbie

      Hi folks,

This looks like a very interesting place.

I've always had (occasional) lucid dreams, but didn't know until last year that that's what they're called, or that it's possible to practise and improve.

My lucid dreams nearly always either involve anxiety (e.g. I'm having to do an exam and I don't know anything about the subject) or are downright scary. I can normally change them by telling myself that it's only a dream, and not real, but the other night, in a scary dream, a sinister character refused to vanish when I told him he wasn't real. He replied "You're not getting out of it so easily!", which was a bit freaky.

Anyway, hope to learn lots from this forum, and I'm looking forward to chatting to you old hands.

      Hi and Welcome Blackpit!

The great thing about lucidity is that once you realize you can't physically be hurt and you can maintain you lucidity at a higher leve you can change the out come of some of these bad dreams and anxiety you have experienced.

Welcome to the site! LD's are great! Once you learn to attain and maintain lucidness you can go give that demon a hug and see what happens

I'm still learning, but the LD's I've had have been incredible, even if they were short.
