      Hello!

Hello, I'm new to these boards!

I discovered the site last night and read through all the stuff about lucid dreaming, and thought I'd give it a go trying to recall my dreams last night.

Usually I'll only remember a dream or a couple of dreams every so often (sometimes not more than once a week) and usually only the ones that I wake up in the middle of, or the last one that I have before I get up in the morning.

Last night I tried to convince myself to remember my dreams, and found myself waking up several times throughout the night during or just after a REM period, and remembered several dreams I've forgotten most of the details and by now (because I didn't reinforce them by writing down) I can only remember a bit of three of them but I'm sure there were more.

The lucid experiences that I've had in the past, were once when I was back in primary school (I'm 18 now) and we were eating our lunch which the dinner ladies forced us to finish eating everything on the plate, and I suddenly realised it was a dream, and telling my friends sitting nearby that I didn't have to eat my lunch because it's only a dream, then getting up and walking off I also used to realise (only during nightmares) that if something ever scared me, I could just teleport away back to my room and be safe, and I could wake myself up by looking up as far as I could, i.e. rolling my eyeballs up until it hurt, which woke me up so I guess I was doing it in reality.

Anyway, I'm finding this whole thing kinda exciting, and hope that I can control my dreams soon Hopefully I'll have some more progress tonight. Sorry for such a long post

Hey there & welcome to the forum!!
That is excellent that you have had a few LDs. If you want to try recalling them better, the best thing to do is to keep a Dream Journal by your bed, then right when you wake up, write it down.

      Thanks for the welcome guys

Didn't go so well last night, I had pen and paper ready to write down and I woke up several times but for some reason felt too tired and didn't feel it necessary to write down what dreams I was having. They seemed to be ones which I was just watching and there was no chance I'd realise that it was a dream. I could just tell that there was know way I'd realise. Better luck next time I guess.
