Hey there & welcome to the forum!!
It depends on what you'll think will happen most of the time. If something glitchy does happen though, count on it being a dream!!

If you can't seem to read the numbers or if they're changing then chances are you're dreaming. Try looking at the clock, looking away, and then looking back. If there's a major change then you're dreaming. But as you were saying, if you know it's 2:00am and it says 13:00 or something like that, then you'll know what to do.
