This is what's known as the "old hag" syndrome. Some people experience this sensation when they enter sleep paralysis (SP). It's really nothing to worry about. |

I have a reaccuring dream. I will hear a loud scampering noise, and then something about half my size presses down on my belly. I feel as though I am awake, but I cannot see anything there. I envision it to be a little animal (perhaps a "demon" of sorts). When this happens, I open my eyes, and feel as though I cannot move. I am frozen in space and also feel as if I cannot breathe. I look over to my kitties, and they are staring at me wondering if all is okay. After a few moments, I am finally able to move again and the sensation disappears. Has anyone heard of something like this before and if so, is there any explanation for it? |

Thanks so much for the information on what I've been dealing with. And I am SO SORRY about posting FOUR times. I have no idea what I did wrong, because for some reason, I thought that I only posted it once! OOPS. Please forgive me, and of course I didn't mean to do that. |
