      I need some help.

This lucid dreaming thing just seems awesome, but I can't understand most of the guides.

      All I know is this:

      - I have to believe I can.

Can anyone else give me the basic steps to lucid dream so I can easily understand it?

Mostly it is the actual Lucid dreaming itself and dream recall. How can I prepare myself to do this, and when I am dreaming, how will I know it? I mean, it says we have dreams every night, but I never remember them at all.

start a notebook in which you write any dreams you have. keep a pen stuck into a fresh page.

when you wake up, try to stay still (don't roll over, stretch, or get up right away). lie there for a couple minutes and try to remember if you were dreaming. if you remember a fragment, try to build on it.
if you only have a vague feeling, concentrate on it and try to remember how it could have been connected to a dream.

when you feel you have remember all you will, write it down in the journal, no matter how insignificant or vague.

this should help you remember more and more dreams if you do it every night. once you start remembering dreams, you will start to get more of a feel for how your dreaming mind works.

once you get to that point alot of the info will make more sense, and feel free to ask any questions. but until you remember at least one dream most nights, it doesn't matter anyway. that is the foundation, the first step.

      good luck
