Excellent! You sound like you really know what you're doing and are serious about doing it. You're right about smoking pot decreasing your dream recall. There have been so many posted topics about people smoking vs. not smoking and how it effects dream recall. I'm glad you're remembering so many dreams - it certainly makes life more interesting.
Starting a dream journal is an excellent start. I found that just by starting a DJ, my mind starting becoming more conditioned to recalling more dreams. I'm still pretty bad about writing them down in the middle of the night, though (I'm always so comfortably sleepy that I don't want to move - but I pay for it in the morning when I know I had a cool dream but can't remember it anymore).
Don't worry about the people at work. It's nice to be able to talk to friends about this stuff, but I wouldn't even bother with the skeptics. If you keep the negative people around you at a distance, your mind won't seem so inhibited on a subconscious level.
Anyway, sorry for the long reply - I usually stick with a sentence or two because I hate reading long-winded posts!
