      Hello everybody...

Hi! I found this website yesturday when I was bored, so I just typed in 'Can you control your dreams?' in the search box. This site was the first thing that came up, so I clicked on it and the rest is history! I have never had a lucid dream before, and the only time I remember my dreams is when they have to do with a family member or close friend getting hurt... So, last night I tried to concentrate on nothing but remembering my dreams, but right before I fell asleep my mind started thinking about other topics.... so I just slept through the night and I don't remember a thing.
Well, anyways I just thought I would introduce myself. I am a bit of a lurker, but I might post once in awhile. It really depends if I am in a talkative mood or not....

hey welcome to dv!! Dont worry your dream recall will get a lot better as long as you practice. Keep a dream journal and record as many dreams as you can each night. I had not had a dream for about 5 years until i found this site. I have only been here about a week and already i usually remember 2 dreams a night...the most was four. So keep practicing and welcome!!!

Thank you! I woke up once during the night, so I started to concentrate on remembering again, and I think I fell asleep and an image started to form... but I woke up right away. I will try again tonight though...

Indeed, my dream recall has gone way up since I started my journal only a few weeks ago.

Your name make me giggle, Sparkley Hampsters

At any rate. Welcome to Dream Views! We're glad you joined us and if you just want to pop in and out that's fine. We accept lurkers of all makes and models! We accept models, too, but only as long as they meet our strict intelligence guidelines

Now, about dream recall, people who haven't focused on trying to recall their dreams may find it hard at first. But don't worry. If you want to recall your dreams you will, just remember what you want. I, and everyone else here, would suggest that you start a dream journal where you can write down your dreams when you wake up. One very important step to recalling them is when you wake up, try not to move. As soon as you move you start to wake you and begin to forget. Just lay there in bed and try to remember the last thing that happened. Even if it's just a color or a face or a word, focus on it. Then if you can try working backwards. I've found that if I can remember a single detail or two then a lot more will follow after that.

But relax. You'll get the hang of it in no time if you just stick with it If you have any more questions just let us know! Sweet lucid dreams!

Thank you! Yeah, my name comes from.... I don't know. I just like hamsters. But, my pet hamster died last year. I have no idea what I was thinking about when I created my username... oh well! Yeah, I was going to try to recall again tonight. Hopefully, my mind won't drift off again before I fall asleep...

      Thanks again!
