Hello Dreamers
I thought as i am new here I would just do a quick introduction.
I have been a vivid dreamer and lucid dreamer since childhood. As a child I never understood the concept of 'it's only a dream'. Dreams were and still are just simply the other reality that is as real and complex and this waking reality.
As a child I spontaneously started doing light switch tests because I would be so confused as to whether I was asleep or awake! I knew that the light would turn on or off 'properly' if I were awake and delay or flicker or not respond if I were dreaming. Sometimes however in lucid dreams I would have to test it a couple of times because the first time it would seem as though the light had done what it was supposed to do!
So I grew up with lucid dreams and still have them. I tend to get a sensation or feeling before they are about to happen before I sleep - similar to nightmares. Whilst I experience these a lot spontaneously I am having to still practice going from waking to lucid state as I just tend to fall asleep! I find the spinning technique excellent for keeping my in lucidity.
I do practice inducing sleep paralysis in the afternoons sometimes (but not if I'm tired!) to just experiment with other techniques that I see I need to discuss in the spiritual forum.
Aside from that I help others with dreams and firmly believe that dreams are one of the most important keys to life and the universe regardless of spiritual beliefs.
I have kept a dream diary since 1986.
Bright Blessings
Leah
