Was this your actual first nightmare? some people say nightmares are usual with sickness and stress, but I'm not so sure about that anyhow, what would you want to know about it besides that?

hmm, indeed, no it wasn't my first, it just isnt common with me, Its just been a really long time since I've had one. Was just wondering if there are techniques to prevent them.

i think most people versed in the way of dreaming would probably advise not to try to avoid nightmares, but to take the power out of them by confronting whatever it is in your nightmare that makes it frightening. doing this is generally a pretty permanent cure for nightmares in general.
