Hi, i'm new and I have some questions..

      Hi,
Sorry for my english, i'm french.

Anyway, i've been a little curious about lucid dreamings cause I had some when I was a kid, and then, a friend of mine showed me this website (http://www.dreamviews.com/index.html) and I read the whole tutorials and some days later I had ONE lucid dreams. That was 1 year ago. Now I found this forum, i read a LOT of threads, and there's two things I wonder what it means, MILD and WILD. What the hell ? please send me the direct links that explain what it means. Thanks!

BTW I told my friend that has natural talent for LD to do that phone trick and when he called some guy that we know, he appeared from white fog, and he transformed into himself when he was a little kid. My friend got scared so he woke up lol

      Welcome to dreamviews!

And regarding your friend, did you read the thread on the Telephone Technique (or whatever)? It sounds like your friend experienced similar results.

you should develop your dream recall first, otherwise you could have a lucid dream and forget it upon waking. dream recall can be tricky and requires practice. recording your dreams in a dream journal can help. of course, before doing so you need to start remembering your dreams.

when you awake try to prevent that rush of thoughts that always enters our heads upon waking; instead, just ask yourself what you were just dreaming. then ask yourself what you were dreaming before that, etc. (often reliving your dream backwards can help.) you can also try setting your alarm for various 90 minute intervals, so that you can awake while you're likely dreaming (because the REM cycles occur in roughly 90 minute intervals). Perhaps try setting your alarm for 4 and a half hours after falling asleep, etc...
Each new day is a chance to turn it all around.

You can also tell yourself before you sleep that you will remember your dreams, that worked for me.

Having lucid dreams makes you special in that you can do something that most of the world doesn't even know is possible.

It doesn't really change who or what you are, but it gives you an interesting perspective on life.

      Great question and Welcome!!!

Welcome!!!!! This may be premature, but in the event you should begin to lucid dream. Remember there are no boundaries. Only what your own mind tells you can do. What one person thinks he can't do another can - if they believe.

      WILD and MILD

      HI,
I dont think any of those posts really answered your question about the WILD and MILD technique, so if you haven't found out already here's what they mean. The MILD method is a way of telling yourself that you will have a lucid dream. It works best when you have just woken from a dream. Spend some time remembering the dream, and then while drifting back to sleep tell yourself that the next time you are dreaming, you will realise that you are dreaming. Really mean this and believe that it will happen. Then remember the dream that you were just having and imagine it becoming lucid, re-live the dream and make it a lucid dream in your mind. Imagine all the things you will do in that lucid dream. Fall asleep with this in mind.
The WILD technique is a way of entering a lucid dream without falling asleep. You have to keep your mind awake until you begin to see dream images and hear dream sounds. A great way to do this is to set an alarm to wake you up after you have been asleep for about 5 hours. Get up for an hour and do something, watch tv or look at lucid dreaming websites, then go back to bed. Lie on your back. Put some relaxing music on and listen through headphones if possible(low volume) .Do some deep relaxation exercises - flex and release each muscle in your body until you feel really relaxed, and then just concentrate on the music and don't fall asleep. Soon you will begin to see dream images. You might also feel strange vibrations, like an electric current. Don't be alarmed by anything you see or hear, it's just the beginning of a dream. If this becomes a bit wierd or scary, try to imagine yourself moving in some way, dancing running or spinning around, this will help you cross the border into a lucid dream. I think this is the best method for inducing lucid dreams, if you stick with it you will get results.
      Good luck.
