      Hey everyone, New dreamer here!

Hello to all... just thought I would introduce myself. I have had a little experience with LD's and am excited to start working on my dream journal and reality checks. So far I have had 2 LD experiences that were...well...short lived but enjoyable nonetheless. The first one I had was with me standing in the middle of a schoolyard and I became mostly lucid (it was still a little hazy). I became excited and jumped up towards the sky and started flying upward but then lost control and it ended. My second LD was actually just a few nights ago and I became 100% lucid. I was wandering through and airport and suddenly realized I was in a dream. Instantly everything became SO vivid. I was amazed at how close to reality it seemed. I then proceeded to grab a woman walking past me and stared her directly in the eyes. I became so excited at the vividness and detail of her eyes and face that everything started to blur and then I woke up. Hopefully my time spent here will be valuable in becoming a dream explorer. Cheers everyone!

Hey, Jazzdream! Welcome to our community! It's great to see that you have some experience already. It sounds as though you might need a bit of help with your Dream Control. That is something that can easily be helped. Try looking at our tutorials. They are quite helpful and informative. You might try taking a look at our adoption program too. Have a great time here!

Hai Jazzdream, Welcome to best lucid dreaming community on the web.

Start doing reality checks and jotting down your dreams. And try to persist.

" Nothing in this world can take the
      place of persistence.

Talent will not; nothing is more common
      than unsuccessful people with talent.

Genius will not; unrewarded genius is
      almost a proverb.

Education will not; the world is full of
      educated derelicts.

      Persistence and determination alone
      are omnipotent.

The slogan "press on" has solved and
always will solve the problems of the
      human race. "

I liked your signature very much. One more quote to use in the conversation with geeks. Thanks.

But I have no idea what your avatar is. I am trying to interpret it.

Welcome to DV! Grabbing a woman in a dream sounds like a cool idea (though I don't know whether you grabbed her ass or just grabbed her). Maybe I'll grab a woman's ass in my next LD and see what happens.

      It's a guy playing piano, from a "bird's view"

It is like a optical illusion. I can see different things in it. May be my imagination is great

Thanks for your replies everyone! I can tell that the people here are supportive and positive. I have a few questions if no one minds. First off, can lucid dreaming be dangerous at all? I know it might seem like a silly question, but it just seems like you can have a big impact on your subconscious mind be it positive or negative. Second question is how long do these dreams last on an average if you obtain full control?

      P.S.
Thanks for the tips Gwendolyn; I will defiantly take your advice. Korothism, thanks I like the quote you posted as well. My avatar is indeed a man playing piano with some other instruments in the scene. As you might have noticed from my screen name and avatar I am a jazz musician. Thanks everyone

I don't think lucid dreaming can be dangerous at all. You're in your bed all the time and it's just like basic dreaming, except that you're aware of it. There's nothing dangerous about it. I consider lucid dreaming as a hobby for intelligent people and the only impact it has on your mind is purely positive, mainly because it's so amazing.

It's really hard to say how long a dream lasts... Time is totally distorted in dreams. I'd say a basic LD lasts anything from 15 seconds to 15 minutes... Though some say they've had dreams that lasted days or even years... I'm a little sceptical about that But who knows...
