      Why?

I've never tried to have lucid dreams, or even tried to control them. It just happens. It always freaked me out, because I thought that since I'm dreaming I shouldn't be able to control them.
Anyway it started happening a couple years ago, and it's to the point now where every dream I have (that I can remember anyway) I know I'm dreaming in it, and I control it...I don't intend for it to happen. Sometimes it happens (and I have no idea what this would be) and it's as if it's a normal day. Except I know I'm dreaming, but it's the next day and I go through the day as I normally would. Then it'll turn out that when I do wake up I end up living out that day. But since I controlled the first dream day and made all the decisions, it doesn't seem like it's predicting the future...'cause It's just me making the same decisions (I guess the circumstances are being predicted?). Either way it kinda scares me and I'd much rather have it stop.

      Anybody know why it happens?

(Sorry if this didn't make much sense.

Hey there and welcome to the forum!!
That is so awesome!! You are a natural at that...in fact, more than an expert!! Be happy with the gift you have been given in that talent!
That is called Precog dreaming, and I am not really sure how it happens...it just happens. If you want to talk more about them, you may want to check out the Beyond Dreaming section.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Heh...I'd give it to you if I could.
The thing is, it isn't too useful. Have you ever read Brave New World? In it is the story of a boy who has a phrase played while he sleeps "the nile is the longest river in the world it is..... feet long" (I don't remember the number)
The next day he is able to to say "The nile is the longest river in the world it is... feet long" but he is unable to answer the question "How long is the nile?" or "What is the longest river in the world?"
It's something like that. With the added bonus of creeping me out.
When I was younger (I'm 17 now) I used to have dreams like uh...night terrors pretty much. Before that I was afraid to even close my eyes because there was always images of horrible things happening.

You really don't have to be afraid of these things. I actually find it kind of fun for that stuff to happen. Try to go with the flow, and maybe play a Video Game!
If you seriously want to ask me anything, feel free to!

Why not turn your dreams into something constructive? You can use dreams as vessels for learning and experiencing new things. I can't imagine why anyone would want to get rid of it. In any case, welcome the the forum! I hope you have a good time here! If you need here, I am here, as are most of the other DVers. We're a friendly bunch and we don't mind giving out a little help and advice.
      Shine on, you crazy diamond!

For most people there is. For me, I can never stop, no matter how hard I try (I don't really want to stop anyways). Some people differ in that. You could learn to take advantage of that, though.

Sometimes I feel like crashing, too, but I LD a lot, so there is no stopping it.

It's okay if it bothers you that much, but I kind of feel sorry for you trying to throw away such a great gift (many have tried for years to do it the way you and I can!)

Is there something in there that you have always wanted to do, or something related to it?

I can't think of anything I'd want to do though. I guess it is useful, since I no longer have nightmares because I can control it. It's better to be rid of the nightmares.

I do like video games though. Maybe if I think of my dreams as video games it might be a little more fun.

      Thanks ^_^

haha ya video games are great, but dont forget all the other great stuff. theres like a sticky somewhere on this website that has a whole list of things to do. i would recommend reading Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LaBerge, but it appears you already have the gift. But it might give you some more views on how to control and have more fun in your dreams.

Yeah. My favorite thing to do is make the games I so easily beat (Zelda: OOT, Super Mario 64 DS, DK64, Super Mario Bros 3, and more) so hard that I can no longer beat them.
In fact, I may even use them in real time to WILD for a nap.

And I am not friendly?! Guess you're right, though Seeker is friendly also! Many members on here are friendly.

This is from what I understand you predict things in your dreams then they happen...
Sometimes your mind tricks you to thinking you've dreamt about it, I use to have it a lot when I was younger, predicting things in a dream then living it. If you wrote down the dream I'm sure it wouldn't happen, or if something happens in realty and you remember you dreamt it I'm sure you wouldn't of wrote it down. I personaly don't write things down because I enjoy the feeling that I've predicted something.
