Is it possible tomodify behavior through lucid dream control

I'm rather shy, especially toward women. Is it possible to use lucid dreams to become more confident or otherwise modify behavior?

A.B.S.O.L.U.T.E.L.Y You can explore any kind of situation in a LD!
I will have an oral exam next month with a VERY intimidating teacher, so i'm trying to train myself in LDs...

Yes, yes and yes. You can train yourself to kind of train yourself to get rid of the nervousness in LDs very effectively. When you have an LD, practice being around women without being nervous. In LaBerge's book Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming, he gives some great examples of this.

Indeed. in EWLD, LaBerge deals explicitly with increasing self-confidence.

What you do is simply "test" a new kind of behavior (being more outgoing) in your dreams to see how it works out for you. There's no reason to be scared since you're dreaming and this will not affect your waking life. If you like the outcome of your behavior (which probably will be the case), it'll be easier to act the same way in waking life.
Even if you aren't happy with the results though, you'll probably see you can handle it and will still be less shy because of you "practice".

Yes, this is definitely possible. I've done this once or twice, and i'd say it's the best place to try something out, because there are no real repercussions. If it doesn't work, you wake up and go 'well, that didn't go so well.'
I think that's one of the best things about lucid dreaming. You can explore things that are impossible in real life.
