      Another newcomer

LOL Yeah. It's me. I am new to this site, or any kind of ld community, but lucid dreaming came naturally to me my whole life.
I BELIEVE it came from a general fascination with dreams, which lead to me being able to control my dreams. That was the hardest step.
After that, everything came natural. It got to the point that every dream I had, for years, was lucid. I became very interested in exploring my dreams, but could never stay in the state long enough.
Suddenly, one night, true, FULL lucid dreaming came to me suddenly, like a flash, under the most unlikely circumstances.
I had just layed down for bed. It was night time. I hadn't even been asleep yet. I was hardly tired. I lay there, with my eyes open, and I blinked...
...I swear that in my mind, that's all I did...
...that's when it happened. I only blinked my eyes for a split second, but when I opened them, I was in my front yard. It was daytime. The sun was shining. The wind was blowing. Everything was in full color, and full detail. The trees swayed in the breeze. They cast dynamic shadows on the ground. It was VERY bright. I had a full range of vision. I could see every blade of grass, every cloud above, all at the same time. It was BEYOND normal human sensation. I was AWAKE! ...I looked out across my dream, and said out loud, 'Oh my god.'
I was in complete disbelief at how real everything felt, and how clear headed I was. My train of thought was not interrupted at all, when I entered the dream. I was completely awake, COMPLETELY conscious, inside my dream.
I moved my arm, and noticed that I could actually feel my muscles moving inside my arm. I looked at my fingertip, and could see my fingerprints. I knelt down, and ran my hand across the grass. I could feel each blade. I smelled the wind that hit my face, and it was right.
I flew into the air, and I could see for miles. . .
Sadly, this was where the dream took a turn for the worse. I decided to go to my friend's house. I flew over, but instead of my friends house, there was a giant television set. It looked really odd sitting there, amungst everything else that was completely accurate.
I tried to turn the television into my friend's house, with my mind, and that was when I felt the world slip away. I had strained my imagination beyond it's limits.
I have never since had such a STRONG, enveloping dream, but I have spent entire days attempting to go back to that place.
I have many many lucid dreams. Very decent ones, as a matter of fact, but I have never had one like that since.

Anyway... that is my story for today
Thank you guys for your ears.

Wow - what an intriguing experience! Thanks for sharing. Glad you're getting back into LDing now. Maybe you'll find all the motivation you need on this forum to find your way back to that place of vivid LDing. Good luck!
