oh, yes, i can relate. whenever im jarred awake suddenly, my dream memory is obliterated, though i can recall very vaguely a few things over the next couple hrs, but my recall is not as good as when i wake up on my own. plus im can better remember what i was dreaming bout in the last few min. what went before is more fuzzy. |

well, ironicly, alarm clocks can help you remembver yoru dreams. they ruin them for me if they wake me up in the morning, However, if you time your alarm clock to your sleep cycle, you will be awoken right after your dream, thus you will remember mroe detail. |

well, when we dream, we dream at differernt cycles. abotu every 90 mins. the cycle repeats itslef. Of corse, the first cycle lasts 180 mins, so if you time out your bed time and add 180+90+90, you ocudl set yoru alarm clock to that time to wake you up after a nice long dream. Then you will remember in great clarity. |

I do find an alarm clock does threaten to ruin my recall, as does the telephone ringing. But i've gradually got used to it, and i hold on to the first thing i remember, snap my alarm off, or talk over my dream fragments with my boyfriend, and that usually brings it back. The last few mornings i've had real trouble with my recall, and have been staying up for an hour, and then going back to bed, as a way of getting my brain 'back into the habit' so to speak, and that seems to be working. |
