      My First Experiences

I have had several Vivid dreams in my life, the foremost one happened 2 days ago.
As I lay on the bed I felt my body fall under sleep, I felt my body pulled downwards, since I have felt this before and panicked (waking up), I relaxed and let it pull me down.
It felt like a rollercoaster ride, an amazing "high", as I fell, I felt my body turning through space as the outside world dissolved away, and I entered the dream state. I kept repeating "this is a dream" and though everything I looked at looked realistic in their appearance (though not logical), I managed to realise the dreamstate.
I remember I started running away from something, and then realising that this was my dream, and I could control it, and I beat what ever was chasing me.
Was a little dissapointing in that other vivid dreams I had had before I fully remembered the dream, even up to this day (that happened I guess over a few years ago).
I have tried explaining this to my partner and friends, but I know it sounds crazy, but Vivid dreaming really rocks!!.
I also know some ways encourage vivid dreaming, but I will save them for a later post.
Anything is possible when you can control that state, and once there you just want to go back!.

Vivid dreaming is the new drug, and 100% healthy unlike the chemical highs, where the limits of the laws of this world still exist.

If only we could make vivid dreaming happen more consistantly, LSD, and other trippy drugs would fall by the wayside!

I think what you experienced was a Lucid Dream. Lucid dreams are indeed really cool and vivid, but the term is lucid. Anyway, it is really awesome to have you with us. I cannot wait for you to start becoming a more prominent member of our community.
      Shine on, you crazy diamond!

      latest dream

      Thanks for the welcome Bob!.
In the last week or so, I have had 1 strong vivid dream. Unfortunately I didnt feel "going down" like I did before. I only remember in dream realising it was a dream because it started off in a room I was familiar with in real life, and seeing the objects placed around the room differently then before. I felt as though something was chasing me and I began to run, i think these kind of dreams are foremost driven by emotion then logic, but sometimes you can allow just enough logic to drive them to your expectations within the dream. then some kind of monsters lept out in front of me and I "thought" hell this is my dream I can beat them, so I charged and knocked them away and continued to run...now the cool bit, and it has happened to me several time in the past, I could turn my head and look around, and.....wow this landscape was like something from lord of the rings, red cumulus scattered sunset, smoke bellowing up into the sky from derelict buildings, trees, grass, shadows, as I turned my head I could look around, everything seemed to be working in real time, and not like a computer landscape, these were no graphics, it was a landscape inside my mind, generated by me!!, that for me is mind blowing, makes a xbox 360 look like a ZX81!. Not sure about tasting and smelling, never dreamt that up yet, but I dont doubt it could happen, after all our minds are so much more powerful then we realise.
To end on a happy note, if you have experienced vivid dreams, then the more you think about them, the more often they occur. Bring on the vivid dreams...i want more!
