Well, everyone is different, and WILD may work better for you than it has for me. But when you say you've tried MILD, how much of a chance did you give it? If it was only a day here and there, then I think you should give it more of a chance -- like work on it for a week or two straight before you decide it won't work for you.
And the most important thing, no matter what method you use, is to be confident. When you say "I will realize that I'm dreaming", really believe it! If you have any doubts at all, it can destroy any chance you have of becoming lucid.
