      first lucid?????

I think i might had a lucid this morning!

it was really short!! i saw darkness and the shapes of my hands, and when i moved my hands it looked like slow-mo. but i couldnt move anything waist down... i do not know if this was a lucid dream, but here is the scenario:

      -Darkness (complete darkness)

      -shape of hands in white

      -lasted for about 5-15 seconds

      -paralyzed waist down

      -half awake (it was morning)

plz tell me what it was! because the minute i saw all of that i thought "LUCID!!" so i tried to move but nothing! TELL ME!!!

Well, you were aware that you were dreaming, so it was lucid
This usually happens with most begginers...'they' get overexcited! Don't worry! with practice this should all work out.
Its important not to get overjoyed, save that for when you wake up, and keep your mind active, do NOT fumble about wondering what to do; plan that out before you go to sleep

Same thing happened to me first two times. They were only seconds long and I could see everything go from almost reality to day dream like and then I woke up. My first true LD was cool though, tried to fly and just fell.

Congratulations on a Lucid Dream. Now you've got something to work from. If you can keep getting to that point, you can now work from that stage until you have high lucidity and can start experimenting with it alot more.

Sorry I was a bit brief on that last post. I was at school.

Yes, Krippe you have definitely started on your journey to great LDs. Everyone has different rates of attaining lucidity but I'd say you will have your first real LD soon because of your quick progress.

Don't worry about lack of control. I woke up immediately after when I first realized I was lucid. It happens to everyone. We just get too excited.

True, it is pretty much a given...

Keep on trying, you are making great progress so far...
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

Lets see, I learnt about LDing during chemistry in 10th grade. I tried for 3 weeks, then gave up, journal and all. I started to lose my dream recall and I missed that so I picked it back up during the summer, had 1 LD but kept on trying. Now I have LDs pretty often.

It took about 5 weeks of actually trying for my first LD.

I got my first LD within 2 to 3 weeks of trying. It was a superb first LD; my longest so far. I flew (2 short jumps but then lift off), summoned a plate of fish & chips, and shrunk a house whilst listening to the screams of the inhabitants!

You shrunk a house!!! Wow, that's pretty cool...

My first Lucid Dream came to me about 1 week after trying...

It was pretty low level, but at least I got to fly for a while, with policemen shooting at me....

Now that I think of it I have improved my lucidity level a lot since that first dream. Back then I could fly but had troubles staying up, and going up higher when I needed to....

I usually have no problem flying; I can rotate on all axes and slew around. It is quite like Peter Pan. I have had a few problems through. My latest lucid instead of flying I jumped and then jumped again to get a boost; and on one I could only go up and down very slowly; & I saw a 3rd person view of me hovering above my bed asleep whilst doing it. Weird eh?
