      First Post be gentle!!!

      Hey there people

Its my first post here so be gentle
Just giving a post to say a little bit about me, i found the Dream Views website when somebody posted about Lucid Dreaming on another forum i browse and someone posted a link to Dream View's. I'm 17 live in the UK and because of that said thread have become very intrigued about Lucid Dreaming and being able to achieve this,

I've read through the main website, and since i have been keeping a Dream journal, most nights being able to remember 2 - 3 dreams and 1 night out of 6 not remembering anything .

Unless i missed it or have forgotten it (probably have knowing me) is there any specific time from just keeping a dream diary to trying to induce a Lucid?

Any help and advice is always appreciated

I don't quite understand your question. Could you specify it a bit more?

Are you asking if you should divide the time between writing in a DJ (dream journal) and working on LD induction techniques? They both benefit each other, so work on both at the same time. The main reason you're encouraged to first start a DJ is two-fold. First, it allows you to build up your dream recall, because what good would an LD be if you couldn't recall it later? Secondly, it can give you the chance to try and figure out patterns that might be appearing in your dreams (dream signs), in order to try and recognize them the next time you're dreaming.

Anyway, they're not really separate, so I'd work on both. If you haven't already, the tutorials are a great place to start if you're looking for specific ideas. I'd take a look at the Reality Checks Tutorial and then at MILD or WBTB or something like that. And let us know if you have more questions You can also look around the site because there's a lot of information just floating out there!

      Sweet lucid dreams!

      Dear Phate,

It is never too soon to compile a Lucid Dream Checklist and to set up a schedule for Autohypnotiszing yourself in regards to Lucidity.

many people have their first Lucid Dream and then have no idea what to do. It is like God suddenly appearing and asking you what you would like, and you can't think of anything to say (which actually sort of happened to me... I had this Dream where a very Powerful Guru appeared to me and asked me what I would like. At the time I had been dieting and so I asked that I would like to keep at my target weight. So now I am forever slim and trim, but I have No Realization, Less Wisdom, and I drive a piece of crap.... just kidding... I could be doing worse... )

Anyway, decide what you want to do while Lucid and go over it many times a day until you finally do go Lucid. The constant Suggestion and knowing what you want, it will all help the process along.

Now, don't always be changing your mind about your Lucid Dream Checklist and your Dream Suggestions. You must realize that Dreams are Creative Productions and that it takes the Higher Dream Mind about a week or two to fashion any half way decent Dream. By changing your mind, you throw all the work all ready done into the back Cosmic Trash Can and force them to start over. All of that probably does not make you many friends on the Creative Staff of your Dream Mind.

Oh, and if you had Suggested anything entirely wrong or outrageous or inappropriate, then pay attention to your ordinary Dreams, and there will be certain hints and clues that intended to advise you of the Changes being made to your Plans. Take in in stride. Remember that the Higher Dreaming Mind knows best.
