      Hey guys.

I'm new to lucid dreaming and the dreamviews forum. I decided it would be a cool thing for me to get into after I had a chance lucid encounter in an afternoon nap. I did the flying thing successfully but then when I flashed into a scene of me getting head from a beautiful young coed who certainly seemed to like me, it only lasted a few seconds and I think the excitement startled me.

Yeah, sex is probably my #1 goal right now. I suppose I should act out these things in real life but they're just too much trouble. I know I could get five women in the same bed all at once, but that's so much work it's not really worth it. I read somewhere that sex while dreaming is one of the hardest things to do because of the excitement and you might close your eyes and you might focus too much on one thing and pop out. I prefer to think of it as an easy effect since I already have had it once.

Details about me .... I'm a hypnotist .. which means that I should be able to get this lucidity thing working fairly quickly by doing self-hypnosis stuff. A while ago I experimented with the Walking Somnambulism process that is described by Wilma Keppel on the Hypnosis Technique Exchange list on Yahoogroups (it's worth checking out, or I could post it here with her permission). That went fairly well for a while but I got bored with it.

Ultimately my problem with the lucid dreaming stuff is going to be the same as everything else in my life ... A short attention span and a tendency to have "wide" instead of "deep" knowledge -- I should probably break this habit

It used to be a few years ago that I was in an environment where I just wasn't exposed to that much new stuff. Nowadays I'm exposed to new stuff at lightspeed, and learning new things is like a drug. On the plus side the only time I am intellectually deprived is when I am interacting with the so-called real world, but on the other hand I also haven't formed many good habits.

But hey, so far I've kept a dream journal for about a week and a half now, not skipping a day. I'd say that's cause for celebration! Who's bringing the Moet and Chandon??

So anyway ... Hello to everyone ... and I hope I'll be here for a while

      Hey, welcome to the board!
Sounds like you've already got a good start going with the self hypnosis stuff.
Have you ever tried to create your own scenes, your own worlds within your lucid dreams? Instead of just finding yourself a girl to...ahem...
You seem to have a talent there, it would be a shame to waste it doing the same things over and over.

Haha... I'm just talking about right now I'd like to focus on the sex stuff.

I'm open to other ideas but I guess I'm one-track-minded.

I figure since I'm a hypnotist I can basically do anything I want ... I read these sites on lucid dreaming and I think "wow, these people sure accept the reality that they are presented..." because to me there aren't any limits like "you can't have sex or you'll wake up"... I say, why not ...

So my plans include designing a hypnosis tape for myself that includes:

      - Time distortion so the dreams seem much longer than they are in real time
      - A trigger I can use to not wake up
      - Suggestions of "when you realize you are lucid you will not wake up.. in fact the more excited you get only propels your body to sleep, while your mind can experience the full effect"

And so on.... It should be fun and it sounds like a worthwhile project but man I have so many projects in some stage of completion

Take care, thanks for your reply.

triggers you can use not to wake up include: staring at your hands. Staring at your feet. Spinning like mad on the spot. (very useful if the dream is beginning to fade. this will bring things into clearer focus or send you off somewhere else.)
