Very Strange Occurence - Was is an OBE?

I had a very strange event occur a few nights ago. I control my dreams often, not really on purpose, I just do it. Not sure if it is actual lucidity. BTW, I did a search on this topic and didn't find an answer. I'm sorry if I am asking something that has already been answered.

Anyway, here is my issue. I was dreaming I was walking a cross a bridge with another person that was leading me. I have a fear of water and bridges and this person was encouraging me to keep going.

We then came to a portion of the bridge with no railing. I got nervous and began to wake. However, I told myself that this was just a dream and if I fall, it is okay. I went back into the dream, without my guide, I fell and told myself, just open your eyes, you'll wake up and be okay. I did this but when I opened my eyes, I was still falling and saw my bedroom wall, first paint, then curtains going pass my eyes like I was falling from the ceiling. It was exactly the way it would have been if I was in bed, but the wall was really close and blurry. This, I later found out, was a false awakening, which happens to me often. When I really woke up, I was in bed, staring at the wall I had just seen fall past me.

This is by far the creepiest thing to happen in my dreams. It is effecting me still because I think of it before I fall asleep and it makes me nervous and I have trouble sleeping. I still dream, in fact, this morning I had lucid dream.

What do you think about this event? I am freaking out about nothing? Was it an OBE?

      Thanks for your help!!

OBEs come with energetic movement sensations. Ex: Vibrations, rushes of energy up the torso, tingling.

Many people have false awakenings like that in dreams. OBEs are concious, entirely. (Although, I've lost control many times before.)

That sounds like the popular 'falling' recurring nightmare to me.

Don't think it was an OBE.

The more I think about it, the I understand what happened. I freaked out because I didn't realize during the experience that I was still dreaming (false awakening). The close proximity of the wall should have been a hint :-P ! It all happened so quickly that I couldn't process it all.

The human mind never ceases to amaze me!
