Hey all, nice site here so I decided I would sign up as this (lucid) dreaming stuff really interests me. A big, busy forum is what I like. I'm 18 and have been interested in psychology for along time.
My first Lucid Dream I had was when I was quite young and what I remember was that I was on this field and we were play fighting and I remember I had this ability to kick my legs (they would strech) really far... It was around the time Street Fighter was out and that Dalsim character could strech his limbs. I don't remember much about this but it has stuck in my mind for along time.
A later one was the ability to do the "FREEZE" thing from Mortal Kombat that Sub-Zero does. I've just noticed they're both game related and I do play a lot of games. It was an amazing dream though because reality was extremely real and it was just awesome. I remember I feeling euphoric running around (school) in the playground shouting "I'm dreaming", I knew there was no point but it was funny. I'm not sure if this was the same night or what but I accidently did the thing that Raiden does on MK when he flys forwards really fast horizontally, that's when I realised.
I was going to mention my immensly euphoric dream here but I'm not sure its the right place, I will paste it in my journal. Instead I'll just ask my questions...
1) What I want to know is... Have any of you actually changed your behaviour in real life because of a dream?
Like becoming more confident in real life, or anything like that...
2) A more personal question (anyones interpretation). Why do my dreams all seem to have people from high school in them?
I don't really care about most of the people I knew in highschool so I'm not sure why I still dream about them...
I appreciate you taking the time to read, respond and answer these questions.
