      Salutations Everybeing,

I have now read every post on this "Newbie" section to orientate myself in this realm. I have posted replies to many: I thought it would be a good way to get started. Now it is time to formally introduce myself: hey!

In my hours of reading the posts on this site I am struck with the articulate and genuinely friendly conversation that blooms all around here. Very big props to the author of the "Spelling and Grammar" post... like candy for the eyes!!! (That's right, three exclamation marks&#33 My life has been leading to this community; 'normal' friends have never quite measured up and I have found myself to be quite the loner. It is so satisfying to be here amongst this magic(k).

Well, that will do... I will definitely see you all soon.

      Dae,

      Rob.

P.S. I dreamed the word "Dae" as a way of thanking 'God/ess', 'the All-that-Is' or 'the Divine' for synchronicities/coincidences. I found that by acknowledging these times with this small blessing either aloud or to myself they happened in noticeably greater frequency and intensity- some of them just out of this world. Quickly translated it means, "Love and Gratitude". So, Dae to you all.

P.S.S. Have you heard of a musical duo called "Sphongle"? They are classified as "Psytrance" but I believe they are more than that. His (Simon Posford) music evokes such a beautiful experience, the closest to a dreaming soundscape I have heard. In fact, his most recent album, "Nothing Lasts but Nothing is Lost" opens with a quote/sample from "Waking Life"!!! I couldn't believe it when I heard it, I was blown away. I am sure that the majority of people on this forum would like them, a lot.

      Thankyou guys,

Are you keeping up that dream diary Lyla? Do you write in the present tense (as if what you are writing is happening right then as you write it e.g. I am having a Lucid Dream, I am so stoked! I wonder, "what the hell should I do!?" then I remember some advice someone gave me on the Dream View Forum and I start spinning round and round. I 'say' or ask rather, that when I stop spinning I meet my spirit guides..." hint, hint. =)

      Dae,

      Rob.

Thankyou so much Echo (your ID is really nice),

What a beautiful thing to write, it made me feel all warm and fuzzy. As for my religion; I am not religious, more spiritual. I was brought up Catholic. When I moved into high school I became disillusioned with that whole thang, so I explored the "occult" which led me (and my Mum) to Wicca/Paganism. This was a much more beautiful religion, with a greater emphasis on the feminine energy and wisdom (Goddess), which was very refreshing and exciting after such a heavily patriarchal system like Catholicism (with virtually no acknowledgement of the feminine- except for Mary of course, she was a trooper wasn’t she).

After a year of expanding my spiritual perspective with Wicca I realised that it was not for me either. It was still "religion", laden with "ritual" and "tradition"... I think those elements have faded out of importance in our modern society, and a more personal relationship with the Divine (how ever you want to percieve it) is in order.

Reading "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle and then the "Conversation with God" series by Neale Donald absolutely revolutionised my thinking ("feeling" would be more a more accurate word actually), reminding me of things I somehow already knew, deep somewhere. I believe we 'incarnate' on this plane of existence for a (or many) particular reason(s) and the "meaning of life" is re-membering (putting back together) where we came from and what we wanted to do in coming here.

Thanks for your curiosity, it is always most welcome... I return the favour... what are your spiritual beliefs?

      Dae,

      Rob.

P.S. Where in the world do you come from? I live in Australia.
