      Thumbs up

Hi everyone. I'm new here. Well, anyway let me get to the point lol:
About two days ago I stumbled upon this site and was amazed with the concept that people can control thier dreams. So of course, like any interested person I had to try it. I tried a fake kind of WILD. Instead of sleeping for 5-6 hours I just started from the beginning of the night right before I started to sleep. I remember having a dream where I woke up in my room...I also remembered to do a reality test so I used a big sticker that was on my closet door...I looked at it and it looked normal then I turned away and looked again...this time, it was all scratched up so I realised I was dreaming...but at exactly at that point I woke up...so can someone please tell me if I was close to being lucid? Thanks :yumdumdoodledum:

Hey beefdawg Welcome to the forum!

And congrats on the LD - yep, you realized you were dreaming during the dream, so that constitutes a lucid dream! Well done.

Feel free to check out the tutorials for more info on getting started. Also, if you haven't already started a dream journal, that is your first homework assignment - start one! It will be invaluable to helping you recognize patterns and dreamsigns.

Let us know if you have any questions. Good luck and have fun!
